Am I Being Punk’d?

Another night, another dub.

Bailed out by overtime but it doesn’t matter how you win as long as you win. The Las Vegas Aces completed the job with a miracle half point cover of their team total over of 88.5. When I opened up FanDuel this morning to investigate the lines for my followers one question popped into my mind.

Am I being Punk’d?

This line feels almost too obvious for me to not pick it. We covered earlier this week with a Mystics team total and today we are going back to the well with an afternoon delight special with Washington Mystics Team Total Over 80.5. Even with a roster depleted by injuries the Mystics have been able to continue putting up big points largely due to their star Tina Charles. The Mystics have gone over 81 or more in 9 of their last 10 games.

The Mystics looked incredibly shaky against the Sparks earlier this week largely due to second half turnovers. I expect them to have less trouble covering today. The Wings are a team that like to play fast, get up a ton of shots and frankly not play a ton of defense aka a recipe for a trip to a place I like to call over freaking city baby.

With Satou Sabally on the injury list as probable with a nagging Achilles injury I’m even more confident. Charles is a lot to handle at full strength, and if Sabally is already nursing an injury I expect Charles to take advantage down low.

The trends speak for themselves. This line is weird. Don’t overthink it. I believe the bookmakers are overrating the Wings blowout defeat against the Indiana Fever (worst team in the league) as well as underrating the Mystics following a defeat to the lowly Sparks.

Lock it in.
