Another night, another dub.
That one was a little more stressful than it needed to be in the second half but the Washington Mystics were able to cover their Team Total over of 79.5 bringing my record on the WNBA season to 7-1 against the spread up 5.22 units.
My brain is in a bit of a pretzel looking at the opening lines for tonight’s matchup between the Las Vegas Aces and the Minnesota Lynx.
The Aces are a bonafide wagon. In my opinion they’re by far the best team in the league. The addition of Chelsea Gray and improved play from Jackie Young and Kelsey Plum has proven to be a deadly combo. I love the Team Total and the spread however I will be only giving one pick because I’m a principled man.
I have a theory that if you’re a bettor you should do what you do. I’m a team totals guy. Some people are parlay guys or spread guys. Everyone’s brain is wired a certain way when they’re looking at lines. My brain is constantly doing gambling math with game overs and more specifically team total overs.
The old me would try to double dip here. The new me is smart enough to know that’s a bad idea.
I think the Lynx suck. They’ve been dealt a rough hand with injuries but their defense against Atlanta earlier this week was pathetic. Because of that, I’m going to follow recent trends. The Aces have gone over 89 in 6 of their last 8 games. I expect them to roll on the Lynx tonight.
Lock it in.
