In 2020, I introduced and attempted the Vanessa Carlton Challenge where I vowed to log 1000 miles in a month. While the haters and losers (of which there are many) will say I failed, the small but loyal fans of this website were able to raise $184.04 for the Alzheimer’s Association. I later attempted the Bagtona 500 where we were able to raise an additional $31.63.
Why am I bragging about these stats?
- It’s probably the best thing that’s come from owning the PopOffBaby.com domain name
- I want to re-attempt the challenge
I popped a tire in my bike about a week ago and was able to replace the tubes yesterday evening. With a week off the bike, yer boi is itching to log some miles and I want a challenge. I refuse to be defeated by Vanessa Carlton and won’t sleep until the challenge is completed.
As always you can pledge to donate to the challenge here for the low low low price of 5 cents per mile
If I put you on to Chainlink four years ago, a donation should be nothing for you. There are very few causes I care about enough to put my money where my mouth is. Fighting Alzheimer’s is one of them.
