PLAY THE MUSIC
Outside, of finding consistent day-to-day winners on “Just the Tip” something I also like to do is find long-term value plays for my guys to key in on. Chainlink for instance, has been a very good long-term play that has paid for itself in winnings a couple of times over for my followers.
This morning as I was prepping for “Just the Tip” I have been refreshing bovada like a sociopath waiting for them to release today’s TBT plays and I found a long term play we should all be keyed in on.
I’m talking to you about the Chicago Sky Over 11.5 wins in the upcoming WNBA (bubble) season. In the past few weeks, many WNBA players have come out saying they will be opting out of this season due to health concerns around COVID-19. With stars like Liz Cambage, Elenna Delle Donne and Tina Charles entering medical protocol this week alone I’ve started to ask myself what is this make-shift season even going to look like. With many rosters turning over almost completely during an eventful off-season and a number of key players opting out I think the teams posed for success are teams whose core remained largely the same. The Chicago Sky are that team.
Yesterday, head coach James Wade notified the public everyone in the Sky’s traveling party tested negative for COVID-19, the Sky also tweeted out this picture got me equally as fired up. With DeShields, Quigley and Vandersloot all making the trip to IMG Academy I would make the argument the Sky have one of the best backcourts in the bubble. Last season, the Sky won 20 games. Every team in front of them has had key players sit out of the bubble either due to injury or health concerns around COVID-19. If the WNBA plays the entire season they have planned out I would be absolutely shocked if the Sky didn’t win 12 games and this bet didn’t cash. I would make the argument they’re a dark horse contender for a WNBA title especially if rookie Ruthy Hebard and new addition Azure Stevens can make the contributions people are expecting them to make. James Wade is the real deal. Anyone that follows “Just the Tip” likes to bet the over and this team can light it up. Last season, the Sky were the number 2 scoring offense in the WNBA averaging 84.6 points per game. The only team that scored more were the Mystics who have already had Natasha Cloud and Latoya Sanders sit out along with Tina Charles and Elena Delle Donne not traveling to the bubble to enter medical protocal. With losses like that I expect the Sky to be the highest scoring team this year. Simply put, they’re going to run teams out of the gym.
As far as I’m concerned the Sky is the friggin limit baby. POP OFF. Stop what you’re doing and lock it in.
